About

Fernlight began as a house theme for an editorial blog, then was rebuilt as a clean, generic, reusable theme for anyone who wants calm defaults and full control.

The idea

Most themes ask you to fight them. Fernlight tries to disappear: sensible spacing, a quiet palette, real typography, and templates you can shape in the Site Editor without touching code. It is opinionated about calm and agnostic about everything else.

Principles

Generic over bespoke. Site Editor over code. Reading over decoration.

Every decision in Fernlight bends toward those three lines.

Changelog

1.0.0
